APPEARANCE;

Like so! Orine is rather normal looking for a girl her age. She's about 5 feet tall and has an average weight. Her eyes are also a light brown. Her most distinguishing feature being her long, pink hair.

However, despite how dainty she may seem, Orine has a strong body. As an idol in 0048, Orine has built some stamina and muscle from her singing, dancing, and battle lessons. This is also due to the fact that she has with worked with heavy machinery for most of her life.

PERSONALITY;

"If my dancing sucks, then I'll practice longer and harder than the others. If they say I'm wishy-washy, then I'll hold my head high from now on. The haters scare me, but in a way they're kind."

Orine is that girl you always assume to be the shy type. She speaks with a soft and gentle voice. It's rare to see her express anger. She's also usually behind or hiding behind her two more outgoing best friends. Although she does make exaggerated hand motions and expressions when flustered or embarrassed. So it's natural to assume that there's not much more to her outside being a normal girl.

So, it can come as a surprise, when Orine shows herself to be the most thoughtful one in her group of friends. Always one to point out the things that might have slipped from the other girls thoughts, Orine is much more than just a simple girl who can be seen behind her friends.

For starters, Orine is a very kind and caring individual. She worries about her friends, rejoices happily with them when they're happy, and ultimately what matters the most to her is her friends. Heck, she didn't join AKB for the sake of being an idol, but rather to be idols and reach for their dreams together with her friends.

Basically, the biggest thing about Orine is that she is extremely loyal. She'll be there to support her friends when they're heartbroken, worried, or sad. She loves talking silly with her friends about simple things even. She's willing to help a friend with whatever trouble they may face. This is probably why at oftentimes when her friends are in arguments she tries to cool the flames as much as she can.

Orine's heart is full of love, kindness, and loyalty towards those she cares about.

One might wonder, then, where does all this love and loyalty come from? The answer probably goes all the way back to when she was a child. When she was young, Orine was basically extremely easy to scare. Even back then she always hid behind her friends. Probably even more so than she does now. But, that changed, when her father who was a mine worker died during his work. This left her family to only two members, Orine and her mother. Unfortunately, even her mother died seemingly not too long later due to sickness.

Thus, Orine had become an orphan. She had to work to make a living for herself and she couldn't attend school like a normal child her age could. It's because of this that Orine had to mature faster than one normally would. Despite this, she tried to live optimistically. Working at the factory, with her co-workers, and still having her two best friends made things much easier on her.

There's no denying, though that Orine was an extremely lonely girl. That's probably where a lot of her kindness and loyalty toward people comes from.

However, the hugest hurdle that she ever had to face was her first encounter with a "Hater." For Orine, who had grown up with a small amount of loneliness in her heart, being noticed by others was something she always longed for. She feared being left behind.

Her fear stemming from the fact that she has lacked in the self-confidence department since she was young. She doesn't believe that she has any outstanding traits like her three childhood friends. Nagisa's bright and cheerful attitude. Yuka's a bit harsh, but she's always had a good head on her shoulders. Chieri might come off as cold, but she she takes being an idol very seriously.

"You know how my parents are gone, right? Luckily, I had wonderful friends like you and Yuka, and the ladies at the factory were so nice to me. Even so, I still couldn't shake the thought... that nobody was really watching me."

Orine never really thought of herself as having any outstanding traits. It's this trait that made her doubt whether anyone actually ever saw her. Orine's lack of confidence played a role in her training in the beginning as well. Orine had been one of the understudies that would often get called on for her mistakes during practice.

It only got worse after receiving her first "fan letter." It was the first time that someone had called her out on one of her faulty traits and it made her falter. It was also the first time that Orine had encountered someone who hated her so much to the point that they would threaten her with violence. She couldn't really seem to grasp her head around the idea of why someone would hate someone so much that they would want her hurt. It also made her question whether she was truly deserving of being in AKB.

But, at a handshaking event, where she shakes hands with a fan for the first, Orine realized just how much she loved AKB0048 and being an idol. That's why, when she encounters her hater in person, she resolves to protect him. She realizes that she's not perfect and that there's still a lot that she needs to learn.

She realized haters are scary, but at the same time they will also help her learn and grow. In his own way, her first hater had also loved AKB0048 along with sharing the same favorite member of the group that she did, Sachiko. Even if she messes up along the way, she can learn from what the haters say even if they are a bit scary. This experience taught her that the haters have a gentle and kind side to them.

After this experience, Orine becomes much more determined and more courageous. Even while the handshaking even had been attacked by the anti-entertainment group, DES, she was one of the first to jump in to try to protect the fans. This shows that, despite how on first impressions Orine might seem like someone who is weak, but she's actually an extremely strong girl underneath that is determined to do the best she possibly can.

Especially, when she realizes that the machines she had been building at home were actually weapons, Orine remains resolved to see the concert through. Admittedly, she does falter at the idea of hurting the weapon she worked so lovingly on, but in the end her determination to follow her dreams with AKB0048 pulled her through.

As the second season in the series, Orine shows to have matured immensely from how she was before. The shy girl from before that was afraid of her first hater now loves to attend events where she can meet fans and hear their opinions. Whether those opinions are criticism or not. She's proud to take part in missions for the sake of protecting the fans and helping 0048's concerts go smoothly.

She's also shown to be a sympathetic person towards others. Whether they are human or not. In Episode 23, Orine helps a species known as the Funghi protect their home. She proclaimed that she didn't want anyone to lose anything precious to them anymore as she had experienced as well. She had lost her parents when she was young and along with Akibastar's takeover, Orine understands how painful it can be when you lose the things that you love.

Orine doesn't like fighting, but she's grown from being afraid to hold a gun in her first battle to someone who will fight to protect what's important.

With all that said and done, Orine does have her own bad habits.

Orine grew up with the habit of keeping her problems to herself. Since she had to mature faster than most children her age, Orine rarely confides in others. She always tries to be there as support for friends, but she doesn't try to go to others when it comes to herself. She's someone that would opt to cry alone in the bathroom rather than talk about her problems.

This is also apparent in NEXT STAGE when she tries to run off by herself to save Mofufu, a small alien that had grown attached to her, when she believed that the Funghi had taken him to harm him.

It became a habit to not seek help from others on matters that she felt she had to deal with alone. She has good intentions, but her incapability to rely on others also gets her into potentially dangerous and harmful situations. For example, when she had run off to go save Mofufu alone, she had almost fallen off a cliff since she didn't know the area that well.

It's been pointed out by Yuka that Orine's thought process tends to be naive. It's probably because she never had an adult figure in her life to point it out for her, but Orine has a lot of faith in other people. She's always been treated kindly by her co-workers in the factory and friends. Her imagination never thought to scope out negatively about others outside that DES is anti-entertainment and hates AKB0048. A good example of this being when she found out that the machines that she had built for the factory were actually weapons. Although she had always worked for them, Orine had honestly believed that the machines she worked with were only used for good.

She's a trusting sort of person and often doesn't consider the possibility that someone might be lying to her or teasing her. An example of this being when Nagisa had told her that she was perfectly fine with kissing Orine. When she saw Nagisa's incoming kissy face, Orine ran away flustered. She had honestly believed that Nagisa was going to kiss her even though the other had meant it as a joke.

Orine's still got a way to go with improving herself and growing. She still speaks quietly, but she's less likely to trail before her friends like she had previously done before. Overall, despite seemingly being a shy girl, Orine is a sweet, caring, and determined person. A friend who will always be there to support you.

"We'll gather all our bitterness in our lungs and blow it out into a balloon." Orine sang softly as she practiced her dancing alone. There's no mission right now, but Orine had come into the habit of keeping herself busy ever since she joined 0048.

She needed to do what she could. That's what Orine believes. Her Digimon partner is the same, too. In a way, the Digimon reminded her of the Funghi. They both want to protect their homes and what's precious to them.

That was why she couldn't help, but find herself compelled to help them too. It was the same with Akibastar. They had to retreat from Akibastar on the day that DES overpowered them with their surprise attack.

Akibastar. The hometown of their dreams. The place where their dreams were born. It had always been bustling with life. The people were always smiling and welcoming to everyone. It was a radiant place that was dazzling with smiles. Yet, in what was just a single day, all of that was destroyed.

It was so painful. She hadn't grown up in Akibastar, but she had grown as an idol there. Her dream had grown each day there. She learned and experienced so many things there. It was and still is like her second hometown to her in that way.

She didn't want anyone else to go through that. Not the pain of losing or being unable to protect your home.

So, that was why, she decided to do what she could and make the best of her stay here. She couldn't ignore the Digimon. Now she's always finding way to keep herself busy. It was the same back at home too. Tsubasa had told them that even when they're off from idol duties that shouldn't waste their time too. They should use their days to the fullest and accomplish the things that they wanted to do.

"Once it fills up nice and big, we'll take a needle and pop it, BANG!" She ended the last note rather energetically and cheerfully. The others aren't here, but they were all probably doing what they could too. Everyone had been practicing and working hard to return to Akibastar.

The same could be said for this world, the Digimon, and the people in it as well.

She stopped to take a break. The level of this practice was nothing compared to what their dancing instructor had put them through. That's why she couldn't let herself stop practicing just because she wasn't at home right now. She couldn't allow her senses to go dull from lack of practice.

"O- One more time...!" After her break, Orine decided to continue her practice. She needed to do what she could for now. Whether it's practicing or helping this world.
